The Manor
Built over 100 years ago, the Manor has an aura of grandeur and old-world charm.
Home for the night…
We were warmly welcomed by The Manor’s team.
Without further delay we were shown our room.
Every care was taken to ensure We have a memorable experience.
Our room for the night… The interior reflects the opulent times of a bygone era with gorgeous floral fabrics and calm colours, Persian carpets and early English and South African antiques.
The wood-paneled entrance and hallway, giving you just a hint of the garden view.
A beautiful garden evoking a relaxing atmosphere.
We had finally settled down, we curled up near the fire place, indulged in a cup of hot chocolate and read up a little on what awaited us the next day.
After a while, we nestled into the comfortable wingback chairs, enjoyed the warmth of a glowing fire as we listened .to the soft crackling sounds and watch the flickering flames dance around the burning logs.
“There is nothing as powerful as mother’s love, and nothing as healing as a child’s soul.”
We simply relaxed and caught up on so many different topics… we laughed, we cried and hugged.
So many emotions…
We explored the guesthouse, what stood out was the attention to detail everywhere we went.
That evening, we had a good couple of hours doing very little, much needed R&R

I opted to have my breakfast in the sun room.
Breakfasts are a speciality offering a wide choice of interesting menu and are inclusive, as are all beverages.
Her favourite spot was the garden.
Just a short walk away from the charming St James beach and the quaint village of Kalk Bay which that offers excellent restaurants from rustic, local cuisine to fine-dining experiences. St James guest houses are well positioned, close enough to the famous Cape Point, Boulders Beach and Cape Winelands, ideal for guests looking to experience the best of Cape Town in comfortable luxury.
We were absolutely blown away at the amazing service, making our stay absolutely memorable.
It was time to say goodbye and thank you to the amazing team at The Manor.
God willing, We will definitely be back!
It was time to make our way to the Cape Town station for our next adventure.
